Earth
The Female Buddha of the earth element is "Mamaki" in Sanskrit, and the Sanskrit seed syllable for this element is "LAM." This energy is connected with the Southern direction, and the energy center it is related to is qualities of awakeness, connected with the root chakra. In Vajrayana Buddhism, this is the Ratna or "Jewel" Family. The passion connected with this energy is powerful desire to possess something or someone to make us secure. The wisdom quality is the "wisdom of sameness" that identifies our fundamental state of awareness as the true source of these rich qualities reflected in the phenomenal world.
