Water
The Female Buddha of the water element is "Locana" in Sanskrit, and the Sanskrit seed syllable for this element is "BAM." The East is considered the entrance point to the mandala, and one proceeds clockwise from there. The energy center it is related to is mental (located in the heart chakra), the mind aspect of realization. In Vajrayana Buddhism, this is the Vajra Family, the indestructible clarity of awareness beyond creation and destruction. The passion connected with this energy is anger, sharpness of endless "us versus them" scenarios. The wisdom quality is the wisdom of mirror-like awareness beyond dualistic paranoia.
