Scientific Rationalism: Fact, Fiction, Hope and Fear

"It is very difficult for our culture to break free from the cult of scientific reductionism with its obsession with "fact". "Facts" are the truth of dualistic mind's rationale - and very good for building rocket ships. Mytho-poetry is the "truth" of non-dual perception's participation with existence. Fact is the language of dualistic reductionism. Mythopoetic utterance is the language of direct feeling engagement - enlightened or not.
This language of symbol and image which is the heart of the tantrica's life bugs the hell out of reductionists with their narrow parochial vision of life's mystery. The wholeness of wholeness only speaks in fluid wonderment which can make no sense to the rigid narrow bound straight jacket of hope and fear. The tantrica lives their language, wears it like an overcoat, or an innercoat. To one who abides in the 6 gatherings recognized as visionary light .... what can one say to a hope and fear bound statistician? As Rumi said "What can a lover say to an intellectual? They do not live in the same world!"
